Twenty four flying fifteens, arrived at Notts county Sailing Club for the annual open meeting, with visitors travelling from as far a field as Chester, Northampton and Tees & Hartlepool SC.

The wind was not kind, Saturday dawned overcast, with what appeared to be a mirror on the lake, although there was a slight breeze in the afternoon, only one race was held, won by Roger & Claire Wood of Notts County, with Will Gardner & Sam Parker second and Wally Riley and Marcus Hudson third.

The evening saw a meal, live band and one or two bleary eyes for Sunday.

Sunday was a little brighter and at least a fairly steady light breeze of about 3 knots came up. Peter Walters and John Allen led from the beginning and took the first race with the Woods second and Peter & David Kitchen third.

The next race was held back to back and the Woods won by three feet from Pete Walters second and Wally Riley third. It was all on the final race, and it started well for Pete Walters who was first at the windward mark, however on the last reach of the third lap Roger Wood managed to squeeze past and went on to win by a small margin to take the meeting.

1st Roger and Claire Wood (Notts County Sailing Club),

3rd Wally Riley & Marcus Hudson, (Chester Sailing and Canoeing Club),
4th Will Gardner & Simon Parker, (Notts County Sailing Club),
