October 24-25
The first away weekend organised by the Training Section. 5 Instructors, 11 Participants together with 5 Stratoses and a Power boat went to the North Norfolk Coast.

Sat
F5 locally 6 NW. We could not have had a worse direction, the planned sail down the coast to Blakeney was off, so we sailed in the harbour and out to the bar it was to risky to continue so we played in the harbour for a while then anchor off the beach and found shelter in the dunes.

In the afternoon the wind had dropped a little and we tried to get out but beating against the tide was impossible so we played a little more before returning to the Hard.

Sun
F4 N. On the water for 0550, a single tide sail, less wind today so we were able to cross the bar and out into the North Sea for a little while then back into the shelter of the Harbour to try to sail to Overy Staithe behind Scolt Head Island.

Unfortunately the huge spring tides made finding the channel impossible and the possibility of sailing onto the salt marsh too easy so we turned round had a couple off super reaches befroe returning to the Hard to dismantle the boats and return to NCSC.
