Fat Wednesday so called bacause it the day Dave Noble brings down the new widestyle (or fat boards) for a try by club members. Sometimes we get wind ...... sometimes we don't......

It was cold, a biteing Easterly, not many of the twenty to thirty down stayed out more than an hour, in fact most stayed well wrapped up on the bank. But there was plenty to play on the new Hypersonic (105 l) which was interesting. Several of us got it planing in spite of the lack of wind. F2s, and Starboard boards, along with the clubs's new Matrix & Maxx, and a selection of sails.

Afterwards about a dozen of the 20 or 30 present went to the Red Lion at Thurgaton to warm up on a beer and some food.

Thanks to Dave Noble for the demo and lets hope many more keep coming down every Wednesday. Next week sees Team 15 start and regular Wednesday evenings, if there is no wind - we get to the pub earlier!
