The annual Notts County Sailing Club Spring Regatta sponsored by Morton Boats continues to grow in size with seventy five entries to the Commodore's Cup & over eighty in class racing. There were visitors from Winsford Flash, Staunton, Hykeham, Draycott and Wanlip. It was great to see over twenty youngsters enter in thier own right along with numerous youngsters crewing thier mums and dads on the water, along with the ever popular crocs, and croc rescue team (there were more crocs than boats rescued I think!).

Friday night started with plenty of activity and a BBQ followed by Jazz and food on Saturday racing was held in light winds with the BBC filming a piece about our Fireball World Champions and how anyone can learn to sail and become a world champion, given the skill and commitment.

Sunday was even lighter and Monday was so still racing was abandoned after lunch - still it was sunny much of the time.

This did not mean racing at the top wasn't intense there were few fleets which were a clean sweep.
