Chernobyl Children Life Line.

On the 10th August the club welcomed a group of young people from Belarus and their host families who were staying locally. The day started with 'un-sailable conditions' however by mid-day when our guests arrived the wind had filled in providing perfect conditions.

The thirty-six children were split into three groups and took part in the following three activities, sailing Stratos and Oppies and 'trips around the bay' in Stoke ferry. The day was rounded off on the water with trips in the clubs RIB's.

After several hours on the water Mary Poole presented the children with certificates as a record of their visit. The club would like to thank all those members who volunteered to help make the day such a great success, our visitors thoroughly enjoyed their day with us.
