The was a good entry of over thirty boats for the Laser & single handed open at Notts County, and though there was strong competition from visitors Notts County sailors did well.

Mike Kerslake won the single handed fleet in his International Moth and Tom Fenn was second to Andrew Wild from Ogston in the laser fleet.

The day dawned bright and sunny with a light to moderate breeze, and this was to prove to be the best conditions of the day, even if a little shifty. Andrew Wild led from the start and won every race in commanding style giving him the meeting.

Further down the fleet it wasn't as clear cut as Tom Fenn from Notts County scored two seconds whilst Mick Steer of Carsington had the a second & third, Mick also won the masters.

Forth place was Richard Mason from the home club with Steve Perring fifth. The Ladies was won by Wendy Shingler of Dovestone in sixth and the junior Richard Nurse from Nottingham SC.
