Emily Hall went to the Rutland Marathon which took place on 19th May in very windy conditions (Fireball Open) not only to take part in Team 15 but also the marathon, many club members sponsored Emily:

I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me for the Rutland Marathon.

I raised £160 that went to National Children's home charity. I must give special thanks to Colin who went round the club with me as I was not brave enough to do it by myself. I completed the Junior "B" Course in wind speeds of 20 knots.

The Marathon also counted towards the UKWA National Inland event where I won the 3.5 Open fleet having come 2nd in the Team 15 event earlier in the day.
