Emily Hall from Notts County Sailing Club is National Champion

Emily Hall (9) won the 3.5 girls class at the National Youth & Masters championship at Weymouth.

Over a hundred and seventy windsurfers took part in the RYA's (the national body for sailing) annual Youth & Masters Championship at the Weymouth & Portland Academy, the 2012 Olympic sailing venue.

Emily is an International JP young gun and lives in Bleasby near her home Sailing Club Notts County at Hoveringham.

Saturday was a light wind day and after the first day she was sixth, however on Sunday the wind increased and she won a race and placed well in the other 3 races to win the girls gold medal.

Emily said "It was wicked to win my first major event, especially in such high winds".
