This year has seen our relativly small but highly qualified Fireball fleet going to many National & International events and winning loads of trophys often in the first three.

The most recent success in October saw Notts County sailiors Richard Mason & Simon Hextell win the Fireball Inlands, with Rob Gardner from the club crewing the second boat and Tom Fenn & Mike Lewing from the club coming in third. In September at the Fireball Worlds in Switzerland Rob Gardner was crewing the winning boat, with Tom Jeffcote in third (1. Richard Estaugh/Rob Gardner (GBR) 2. Vince Horey/Andy Thompson (GBR) 3. Tom Jeffcoate/Mark Hogan (GBR))

Kevin Hope went over to France in August and won the French Nationals, of course he can't be called the French National champion, not being French.

The National championshiops at Brightlinsea in early August saw Tom Jeffcoate & Mark Hogan from Notts County SC win with Kevin Hope eighth.

Andy Smith & Jim Cooper were third in the Irish Nationals at the end of July at Royal Cork YC.

I think we can probably claim to be one of the best quality Fireball fleets in the country with results across the board like this - well done all.
