Tom Farmer is a young windsurfer at the club, who has just taken A Levels. He learnt some years ago and this year became an instructor and has been helping out at the club teaching.

He is taking a gap ear, part of which will be helping youngsters and working for charity, his charity is decribed below: "I'm going to be doing a windsurfing marathon from sunrise to sunset on the first windy day in August to raise money for a project in the Dominican Republic.

The project is taking street chilldren and families off industrial rubbish dump and building them housing, schools, sanitation and running water.

I am also going out to visit the project on the 8th of August and will be assisting in the construction of the new homes for these people.

I am trying to raise funds to go towards the project as sponsorship for this windsurfing challenge through a justgiving site.
