The two GPS units have arrived, one donated by Riks, one bought with entries (when we get enough)- so no wind for the forseeable future!!

The windsurfers are starting a speed ladder, we are intending to get some prizes sponsored, if not a Wednesday night trophy may be used.

We are basically running it on honesty basis, but will be able to download tracks to check!

We have two GPS unit (Now here in safe under telephone) as used by speed sailors in a waterproof pack - there are insteructions with the units. As a result there is a £10 entry to pay for the GPS, which will be locked in the club house. Entries and results to date

Rules fairly simple:

5) Entry £10 adults (under 15 - £5)

6) The person with the club GPS should wear the yellow jersey if we can obtain 2 (to allow others to know who to ask for next go).

7) Max 30 min on water if someone waiting (and if you are on shore more than 10 mins you must hand unit to next person)

8) Write your name, the time you had the unit, and max and average speed and distance in the notebook with the GPS in the safe, if possible photograph GPS screen and get a witness, please reset the max speed etc when you start using the GPS and turn on and off to start a new track, also e mail the website (or David Eberlin who will post results) if possible.
