Cameron Coghill National Champion - Cameron won the 5.5 sq m National Inland series and collected his prize last weekend, so Ian can rest a little easier - he was beaten in the club series by a National Champion, well done Cameron.

Andy Kilburn won Oprtimists, Lawerence Logan was 4th in Toppers at Zone Champs - great results considering a few years ago when they came to Notts County - well done., Spet 09. Link to report

Emily Hall at World Cham[ionships, This was Emily's first World Championships, held at Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy, venue for the 2012 Olympics. Competing in the Techno 6.8 Under 15's Emily finished 15th, and First Under 13.

Mark Sears & AlexHughes from the club were first and second in the Honda RIB East Midlands finals in July and Mark now goes to the National finals in Southhampton in September, it is a great credit to those helping Ian Pilkington train up the yongsters on a Monday night. Good luck tin September..

March 2009: Andrew Kilburn has been invited to join the GBR Optimist Squad for the international regatta at Braassemermeer in Holland.

The Brassermeer Easter event is an International invitational event run over the Easter Bank holiday weekend. Last year 270 Optimist sailors attended from all over Europe and America.

Andrew will go to Holland on Tuesday 7th April and join a squad of 40 GBR sailors for two days training prior to the event. Racing will then take place over the  Easter weekend, 10 races in total will be sailed. He will return to this country on the 14th April 2009. Andrew Kilburn -2009 to date(!/9/09)

Club of Year Award - Notts County was in the finalists and went tocollect thier plaque and flag in London in March, it sounded as though we were very close to being club of the year outsright winner.
