Enterprise Open 09
What a great sight on our water! 26 boats were sailing over the weekend and thank you to everyone involved making the event run smoothly. We had all levels of experience racing on what was a breezy day on Saturday and a little calmer on Sunday, and from feedback visitors and members all enjoyed the challenge. Dave who does the website on away currently so I've attached the results from the event and if you would like to see a few pictures before they are put on the website please click here for more photos.
On a very positive note, (especially after watching how smoothly the Open champions sailed their boat!), the Enterprise Association has offered to support an Enterprise training day later in the year at NCSC. This will have something for all levels of ability and gives us a great chance to have the best coaches in the country at our club. I will confirm dates later but please let me know if you would be interested so I can indicate numbers to them.
Finally a reminder for the next Ent event - Friday 17th July - which is the fun sail and BBQ. Last year the balloon chasing on the lake with boats full of families was great fun and this year I'm sure will be similar. The format is a very informal social event, bring your own BB food etc, more details nearer the day.
Finally well done to all competitors over the weekend and if you have any thoughts or ideas on how next years Open could be improved please let me know while it is fresh in your mind.
