Dave Hackford at Notts County. We had sunshine over 30 windsurfers on the water with ex Olympic windsurfer talking about sail design & setting, his mistakes whilst racing at Mumbles the previous weekend (you are never to good to learn!) and how to sail a Raceboard. David brought down some demo kit, but alas there was to little wind for shortboards, but it was interesting to see the new Carve. He was joined by Nobles (Rich & Sam) - don't forget thier demo day at Rutland Sun 25th July.
After talking about sail rigging, it was out on the water for some downwind starts, and a run to bouy 7 then back upwind, then a couple of shorter races, a tacking & railing demo and finally a le mans start and race around the lake.
It was a great evening topped out with excellant food from Pauline (she sold out) and some beer along with Birthday cake from Russ Towns who was ?? (a little over 70) that day.
David had brought some prizes with T shirts, calendars, and notebooks for many of the participants.
