Enterprise Fleet Training Day & Social 7th May 2011

We shared the lake with the RS400s on Saturday, 7th May for a novice training session and social evening. New members and those who had recently completed the club sailing course were encouraged to come down to have a go in a range of different boats.

Experienced sailors were on hand to help with advice on boat set up and took both helms and crews out on the water to pass on sailing tips. We have a few new members who own Enterprises this year including Steve Kirk with his crew Andrew who did extremely well in the afternoon race and will be ones to watch in the Sunday fleet.

We had a bring and share barbecue in the early evening with the added challenge of family quiz sheets to keep people entertained. We then had 40 people taking part in a beetle drive in the clubhouse which was enjoyed by all ages.

Special thanks to John Riddell who worked so hard sorting out the boats and organising people to sail in them.
