HIRE OF BOATS BY CLUB MEMBERS

Conditions of Loan of Club Boats

  • Boats available:
  • Stratos nos. 5 & 6 (special qualifications apply)
  • Oppie nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Available to Club members who are approved and registered by a member of the Training Committee as having the skills needed to sail the particular boat and preferably have at least the RYA level 2 Sailing Certificate

Note: Members under 18 years must be supervised by an adult who qualifies as above and must sign the book as being responsible for the youngster and boat/equipment

Sessions:

  1. Morning until 1pm.
  2. Afternoon 1pm - 5pm.
  3. Evening from 5pm - dusk.

A contribution per session is expected when boats are borrowed i.e. Stratos - £10, Oppie - £2 Monies and your details to be put in one of the envelopes attached to the book hanging from the club key box in the corridor of the clubhouse.

Post the envelope in the 'Suggestion and Loan Contributions box' on the wall below the key box.

Loan of STRATOS boats can be made only through direct contact with Stuart Poole 01636 813621 or John Allen 0115 953 5801

A key will be obtained from Stuart or John to gain access to sails and rudders.

Activity Log and Damage Report forms can be found in the Stratos sails and rudder store. It is very important that these are completed and that immediate action is taken on any damage or loss.

Loan of GP 14, Topper and Oppie Please make full and legible entries in the book hanging from the key box in the clubroom corridor both before and after use of the boat and equipment.

Boats and all equipment must be cared for and packed properly away for the next user. The borrower should do any minor repairs/replacements

All damage or losses should be clearly entered in the book AND reported to The training Bo'sun Alf Hampshire or the Principal Neil Jacks.
