We have done our best to identify Hotels and B&Bs near to the sailing club. The list is not comprehensive and we may have got details wrong. If so, we apologise (and we'd would be grateful if you'd tell us). Further details can be obtained (on some of the places below) from the Tourism Dept, Newark & Sherwood District Council (01636 655716).

Southwell is a pretty, small market town just three miles from the club. The Norman Minster and the buildings around it are all very beautiful. During the Civil War Charles I is said to have given himself up at the Saracen's Head Hotel (but actually it was a couple of miles away).

All the other places mentioned are tiny villages, or isolated farms. Lowdham, Burton Joyce, Gunthorpe, East Bridgford, Thurgaton, Bleasby are all within a few miles of the club.
