RS 400
The RS400’s have been active at Notts County for many years and we have built-up what is one of the strongest fleets in the country. This high performance asymmetric, hiking dinghy offers the more experienced sailors some challenging sailing and has attracted many of the top helms & crews.
At’s NCSC we have our own class racing during the summer and as the fastest boat in the club we start last in the spring / autumn pursuit races. This provides the challenge of sailing through the club racers in order to get the winners gun. The fleet sees good turnouts on Thursday evenings & Sunday racing and of course the water is available on other days during the season for recreational purposes.
There are nearly 1000 RS400’s around and the national class association has an active circuit of events for this and other RS fleets. Follow this link http://www.rs-association.com to see more details about the class & current events plus boats for sale.
The Notts County RS400 Open meeting on 22nd & 23rd September 2012 is part of both the “Northern Tour” & the Gul Grand Prix circuit . So we expect a large turnout especially with the free camping & traditional Notts County hospitality ( find more details at “open info” on these web pages).
The fleet runs training / experience days to both encourage newcomers & improve learning within the fleet. Such events are communicated through regular e-news letters. ( Next training day Saturday 19th May 2012)
We also have fleet social events and strongly support other club activities.
