Yet again a great weekend for racing. The kids corner outside the clubhouse also proved popular with paddling and fun for all and the bouncy castle was also heavily subscribed.

The fortieth birthday regatta sponsored by Typhoon and local shops Morton Boats (Lincoln) & Starboard (Carlton Hill).

Over sixty five entered and over the weekend about thirty additional sailors took to the water, mainly toppers near the club house, there was some cruising in the gaps between the racing..

Racing took place on all three days and included the Commodore's Cup of three handicap races, some class racing team racing and a night time race (won by Mike Stott the organiser, with Aidrain White second.

Although only sunny on Saturday it was warm with a gusty westerly wind, giving some very challenging conditions, but some great racing, especially in the Scorpions. Mention must be made of the oldest combined age in a boat of 116 years, with Glyn Myatt sailing one of the club's Laser Stratos training boats to second place in the handicap, crewed by the Bosun Ian Pilkington.

The junior racing was won by Holly Tuckwood (Cotgrave) in the club's 405. The Commodore's Cup handicap was won by Kevin Hope, whilst youngsters Tom & Penny Jeffcote (Eddingly) won the slow handicap.
