| The National Typhoon grand prix dinghy series visited Notts County Sailing club over the weekend. Junior sailor Jonathan Lye won the Junior helm with some good results over the weekend. Not only that they had the oldest sailors on the water Len & Marion Duckering have a combined age of over 110 years old. Len has been sailing an Enterprise for as long as anyone can remember at Notts County. Over forty boats competed and there was some very close racing in almost perfect conditions, a force 3 breeze and that rare commodity sunshine and warmth (24'C at one point). Winners were Tim Sadler and Gary Wolfenden from Hallanmshire, followed by club team mates Ges Brown and Craig Wheatley, and on equal points Paul & Sharon Plested. |  |
