The club has a very active Training Section with a large number of fully qualified RYA instructors in all areas of sailing, powerboating & windsurfing. All the instructors are volunteers whose main interest is to encourge learning and progression in the sport. we do have instructor and First Aid courses, please contact the principle. First Aid is normally in November, and all club members are welcome, it is the RYA one day course.
The Notts County Sailing Club has been an RYA Approved training establishment since 1975. Many students have learned the basics of practical & theoretical sailing since then. Adult courses are open to non members.

Powerboat are run as required, please enquire. Club Safety boat familiarisation is a prerequisit of using the powerboats and are run in March on Saturdays.
