Jon & Nicola Willars with some help from Jake & John (Tailby) decorated the clubhouse and set up the darts board ready for a fun evening.

Meanwhile Keith and Carol were preparing curry and chilli with baked potatoes, rice or chips for sustinance in the kitchen.

The bar opened and the thirty or so members arrived and sat at tables. The secret that teams were going to be the tables soon leaked out, not that it mattered.

Soon after food the quiz got under way, there was fierce rivalry especially when hands went up but it never seemed to be our table !! 

Very soon we could see the table that had a strong knowledge at quizzes, Jake Willars (had he seen the questions ?), John Tailby, Adrian and Viv, Debs and Steve Pennington took away the chocolates and cider, and immediately sent the chocolates round the rest of the club house. Other prizes included an old bike, a trolley wheel. But where was the speedboat !
