Our Discover Sailing open day saw great weather, sunshine, a light wind and it was warm. Perfect as an introduction to sailing. There was a buzz at the club with an atmosphere of warmth and friendliness. For anyone who missed coming down due to other commitments please contact us you are welcome to come and see what we are about.

On shore the registration team were busy with over 150 forms filled in so around 200 to 250 participants. The buoyancy aid team fitting buoyancy aids and sailing team using Stratos and Cobles to take people out in the light winds.

Meanwhile the windsurf team were using the onshore simulator, and explaining wing surfing. SUPs were out in force. There were model boats, Sailability, open water swimming and RNLI stalls.

On the balcony was a team were discussing joining and training opportunities, and a number signed up there and then.

Activities on the water included Saturday Club, Youth Race Coaching, Informal Race Training, and Saturday Racing.

Carol and team were very busy in the kitchen cooking and preparing food, in the end they ran out but not before the vast majority had eaten. The bar was doing brisk business especially at the end of the day, when many sat down for a natter and a pint.
