The August Junior course went very well, with recently (well March actually) qualified SI Stephanie Gunn in charge of the 22 volunteer instructors and helpers, some helped for the four days others for one or two days. Many of the juniors helped out on a course for the first time, hopefully the start of a rewarding instruction career. The clubs Junior AI certificates were handed out to several youngsters. Thank you to all the volunteers for making the course possible for the 23 youngsters taking part on Youth Stages 1 to 4.

The course started in very light winds on Monday, with a better breeze for the rest of the week, though it was a little damp on Wednesday. Thursday after lunch saw a couple of short races before the presentation.

Certificates awarded: 8 Stage 1, 9 stage 2, 6 stage 4. Ken Twemlow the Vice Commodore attended to help hand out certificates, and thank everyone.
