Keith Burgess

We are very sad and shocked to hear of the death of Keith Burgess. Many of you will have seen Keith round the club. He was a quiet man, always willing to volunteer and help out, whether behind the bar, on the race course, or even crewing and encouraging novices.

Keith had a flying 15 at the club which he would take out occasionally. He joined the club in 1966 and took RYA courses learning to sail and has been part of the fabric of the club ever since.

Keith was an interior designer, and once you got to know him would talk about a wide range of subjects.

We understand he died suddenly, I think he was only down last weekend or the week before.

The Funeral arrangements are:

13th October (Thursday) at 3.30pm at the Tithe Green Burial Grounds, Salterford Lane, Calverton, NG14 6NZ. It will be an outdoor graveside service (with chairs and rain cover, please dress for warmth). The Wake will be directly afterwards – in the NCSC clubhouse.

All club members are most welcome to the funeral and the wake.
