Use of Club Boats
Loan of Club Equipment
Nottinghamshire County Sailing Club is keen for members to make the transition from learning to sail and windsurf to becoming confident enough to regularly sail. Whilst we encourage members to purchase their own craft, we realise that initially this can be a significant investment, especially in the early stages of taking up the sport. We therefore are keen to hire out available club equipment to enable new sailors to gain experience and help them decide on what sort of craft would be best for them. Rental periods can be by session or for longer periods and access is via the relevant Chief Instructor see below). Payment is made via Sailing Club Manager or via the Treasurer using the training account details to arrange BACS transfer. The fees paid go towards maintenance of the Training and Loan Fleet. Generally sessional hire is only available when there is safety cover on the water and only to those who have the relevant skill as defined below. The general Terms and Conditions are available on the website and are summarised below. Please note only fully paid up water members can use loan boats.
Dinghy Hire
NCSC has a variety of dinghies to support the RYA and club training activities. They cover a range of ability levels from young beginners venturing out for their first time alone, to boats for all the family, and lots in between. As club assets, they are available to sailing members to hire when not in use by the training team. For full details, please see website at https://www.ncsc.org.uk/water-activities/use-of-club-boats/. To arrange please contact the Chief Dinghy Instructor Glyn Ritchie at trainingdevelopment@ncsc.org.uk. Below you will see a guide to suitability of boats for users.
