Yacht Cruising Events

Notts County Sailing Club has established an affiliation with Trent Offshore Group (TOG). This recognises an interest amongst water users and club members who might want to explore or take part in offshore events involving sailing yachts.

Members have an opportunity to extend their sailing activities with TOG through organised sailing expeditions around the British Isles or abroad including European waters and destinations further afield in the Caribbean and Indian Ocean. TOG have developed a core group of competent skippers and expedition leaders so you can join a yacht charter with little or no experience or enhance your already established skills. The group has developed a reputation over the years in chartering superior quality yachts at reasonable prices and is a RYA affiliated organisation.

Notts County Sailing Club and TOG are co-operating in the planning and organisation of regattas, training workshops, both for inshore and offshore cruising activities and social gatherings that promote participation in sailing and yachting.

Yacht Charter

Notts County Sailing Club also has an affiliation with Prometheus Sailing for discounted Yacht Charters and RYA Yacht Training Courses. Details of how members can enjoy this discounted benefit are described on SCM under “Member Info”,  Prometheus Sailing : Notts County Sailing Club

A local (Newark) RYA Training school run by our Bosun and Assistant Bosun can also provide RYA courses for Yachting such as VHF etc. See Nautical Training website.
