The 2025 Discover Sailing on 3rd May saw a great turnout of over 220 registered visitors, a huge effort by many volunteers, led by Neil our Vice Commodore and Kathryn our Membership Secretary volunteers included dinghy instructors, safety crew and members issuing buoyancy aids and providing information on Sailability, membership and training information. Thanks to all who put the time in. Five new members joined on the day and many more expressed an interest.

There were two Cobles and two Stratos in continuous use from late morning, with queues forming for a go, the youngest was a 4 year old who went out with his father in a Stratos (we will get his father out windsurfing again soon !) the Hansa also took out several sailors. Everyone had a broad smile on their face enjoying a new activity. The catering team were also kept very busy.

The RNLI were there providing some great advice on all watersports. Love Open Water, our Open Water swimming group  had a stand, and there was a few SUPs going out and a windsurf simulator.
