Family Fun Day 25th August 2025

Neil Chadborn and team including Adrian on safety (along with others) Viv on shore, Selina and Lyra on scoring helped by many others provided  an entertaining and enjoyable family event. With about 45 taking part of various ages from around 5 to over 50 it rivalled many open meeting entires. The day was a huge success with many families enjoying Notts County Sailing Club in the sunshine with a light wind.

After a briefing by Neil the Vice Commodore, the day started with Water Wordle and then Treasure hunts, Jetty Jumping judged by our president, presidents wife and ex bosun, an esteemed bunch apparently !! After lunch provided by Keith and Carol it was a water relay and Archery. All events counting to team and individual prize, divided into age groups.

The wordle saw Picos and other sailing dinghies along with paddle-boards searching for clues on the bouys, then the safety boats were moored up and it was jetty jumping under strict supervision of the Vice Commodore. Marks being given for style and originality.
