ILCA: We’ve just finished a fantastic week at the ILCA UK Open and National Championships in Pwllheli.
Our NCSC sailing journey started back in May 2018 at the club’s open day, with the kids going on to join Saturday Club and Youth Race Squad. This week, Sam (18) came 2nd overall in the men’s ILCA7, and Chloe (13) took 2nd in the ILCA4, also earning the title of ILCA4 Female National Champion.
Kat Gunn (16) also had an outstanding event, stepping up to the highly competitive ILCA6 rig and finishing 1st U19 female, 3rd GBR female and 21st overall out of 109 sailors. Julian Lloyd (adult) also represented the club in the ILCA6, competing in the masters category.

We’re incredibly proud of how far they’ve come, and so thankful for the support, encouragement, and friendships that have helped them along the way

Sam now heads to Dun Laoghaire, Ireland, for the ILCA U21 World Championships, while Chloe heads to Weymouth for ILCA Skills Week — a fun week of training for all abilities at WPNSA, run by the class.
